The eircom Golden Spiders are widely regarded as the oscars of the Irish internet industry and were established to reward excellence in design, functionality, creativity and innovation in
Ireland's internet industry.

More than 600 representatives from the fields of media, advertising, business, technology, entertainment, politics and the arts will attend the awards ceremony on Thursday, 23rd November 2006, at the Burlington . A panel of prestigious leaders from the Irish Internet Industry will select the winners of the awards.
