The Digino story
Digino was founded in 2001 by Ed Field who has 20 years national and international marketing experience. While working in the Telecom sector in San Francisco...
in the late nineties, Ed had a light bulb moment when he experienced the power of search engines. 30 minutes of online searching using Alta Vista (yes there were search engines before Google) connected Ed with the car he was looking to buy and the apartment he was looking to rent. Ed saw that online and particularly search was going to develop into a powerful, global, direct marketing channel. Returning to Dublin Ed worked in the emerging digital marketing sector for two years before setting up his own business.
When expansion was needed in 2005, Ed looked outside of Dublin for the perfect place for his growing company. In 2005, Digino won its first significant award, a Golden Spider for the Renault Ireland website, and many more accolades followed. Today, Digino is a team of over 15 people, with 9 fulltime people based on the edge of Lough Derg, in the pretty village of Killaloe, 90 minutes from Dublin and 20 minutes from Limerick. Digino supports major commercial clients all over Ireland and the UK.
